PCMI conducts several sessions per year. Classes are held Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with lunch from 12 Noon to 12:30 PM.

- Start with G Codes
Week 2
- Blueprint reading / quizzes
- Start GD&T
- More G Codes, start using simulators
- ToolingU / safety
- Reading micrometers and verniers / precision measurement
- Text book (CNC basics)
- Text book (Intro and Workholding on CNC mill)
- CNC Intro to Haas Mill / Mazak (showing / explaining startup, entering programs)
Week 3
- Quizzes on G Codes
- GD&T
- CNC Manufacturing on mill / speeds and feeds
- Blueprint readings / quiz
- ToolingU
- Shop math / trig
- CNC Milling / Programming (textbook / hands-on)
Week 4
- GD&T Quiz
- CNC Intro to Haas lathe
- Text book (Intro and workholding on CNC lathe)
- Speeds and feeds for CNC Lathe
- ToolingU
- Quizzes on speeds and feeds / blueprint reading
- Programming assignments for the mill using simulator
- Fabricating assigned projects (Haas and Mazak)
Week 5 thru 8
- Final Print reading exams / GD&T
- CNC Lathe programming (textbook) / hands-on
- Fabrication of assigned projects (Haas and Mazak)
- Review tests
Week 9 thru 12
- Canned cycles on machining centers / lathes
- Fabrication of projects on Haas and Mazak (cont.)
- ToolingU
- Review tests
- Students will have experience with the different departments in the main plant
Week 13 thru 14
- Students will work as a team to fabricate Kant Twist clamps
- Students need to fab a final NIMS project to be inspected by QC
- Review tests
- ToolingU
